X-Ray – Our facility is equipped with two x-ray units which allow us to obtain and read x-rays on site.  Our medical providers are then able to initiate treatment with a firm diagnosis in hand.

Bone Density Studies – Bone density screening is a commonly used study to evaluate patients for bone loss or osteoporosis.  With these results, our physicians are able to formulate a treatment plan to best address the effects of bone loss.  This can help avoid future bone problems due to osteoporosis such as fracture.

MRI – Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a highly sensitive tool for evaluation of the soft tissues and bones.  Having our own MRI on site allows us the flexibility to schedule and evaluate our patients in greater detail.  The studies are interpreted by a board certified radiologist and our physicians and PAs interpret their own scans as well.

Electrodiagnostics – Electromyograms and nerve conduction studies are performed in the office by Dr. Meighen.  These studies involve testing a certain nerve or muscle group to see if damage is present.  In addition Dr. Meighen performs cortisone injections or “nerve blocks” in and around the spine for herniated disks and arthritis of the spine.  These procedures are performed on an outpatient basis at CMC-NorthEast and Gateway Surgery Center.
